On May 11-12, 2016, the discussion meeting on “GEF/UNDP - Enabling China to Prepare Its Third National Communication (TNC) Project” was held in China Hall ofScience and Technology. It was presided over by Jiang Zhaoli, Deputy Director of the Department of Climate Change, NDRC. Related officials and experts from National Development and Reform Commission(NDRC), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Science and Technology, National Bureau of Statistics, Ministry of Environment Protection, Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Climate Change, State Forestry Administration, Environmental Protection Department of HK, Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau of Macao, Energy Research Institute of NDRC, Chinese Academy of Science, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science and other agencies attended the meeting.

Related officials and experts attended the meeting.The progress, achievements obtained, issues and the next work plan of nine subprojects have been reported at the meeting. The experts discussed  and gave related advices. At last, Mr. Jiang highly appreciated the implementation of each subcontract and stressed that all the work should be in strict accordance with the project schedule, the report should be  submitted on schedule.
